This region is extremely attractive for tourists, thanks in particular to one of Senegal's most beautiful seaside resorts, Cap Skiring. As you explore the region, you'll discover the authentic customs and traditions of the local people, who continue to enliven the area. You'll also be fascinated by the richness of the wild forest and its incredible biodiversity.

One of the most attractive spots in the region is the Casamance River, famous for its maze of picturesque coves and lagoons. It is dotted with small islands, lush mangrove areas, forests and a verdant estuary. It's a wonderful place for walking, cycling or canoeing. During the dry season, it becomes a refuge for millions of migratory birds.

Another must-see attraction is the superb Cap Skiring beach, with its fine white sand. A visit to the surrounding villages will enable you to meet the local people, who will always welcome you with a warm smile.

A visit to this region takes 3 days, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy all the wonders it has to offer.

Day 1 :
Your first day begins with an enriching visit to the Oussouye center for disabled women. There, you'll marvel at the creativity of the women who make exceptional handicrafts from meticulously hand-woven roast tree leaves. Colorful baskets, unique hats, jewelry boxes and many other treasures await you. You'll even be invited to try your hand at weaving, which promises to be fun and memorable...

Afterwards, you'll head to the village of Ségalène, where you'll meet passionate cashew growers and processors. They will enthusiastically explain the various stages of processing, from harvesting the fruit to the finished product.
On the way back, a not-to-be-missed stopover awaits you: a meeting with the King of Oussouye. You'll have a privileged opportunity to chat with him and discover the fascinating aspects of his kingship, as well as the customs and traditions deeply rooted in Diola culture.
This unique experience will be orchestrated by myself, as I am linked to this royal lineage by family ties.
To round off the day, you'll explore the charming village of Boukitingo, representative of the region's tradition and authenticity.
But that's not all! Your adventure continues in the bush, where you'll meet my cousin, a palm wine harvester. He'll introduce you to the techniques of harvesting this precious beverage and invite you to savor its delicious flavor. You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious traditional Casamance meal, prepared with care by his wife. These moments shared in the heart of nature and local conviviality will be unforgettable.

Day 2 :

This day is dedicated to the islands and bolongs. You'll board a pirogue to explore four islands, the first of which is Ourung. This small island is home to beautiful straw-roofed houses and a superb rice field. You'll also visit the island's elementary school, where you'll be greeted by the joyful singing of the pupils.

Day 3 :

The third day begins with a visit to the traditional village of Kabrousse, birthplace of national heroine Aline Sitoe Diatta.

Afterwards, you'll visit the Kadiout Museum, the world's only open-air museum, located deep in the forest. On this fascinating tour, you'll immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Diolas, with captivating animated stories.
